Cheryl Keeling

Cheryl Yvonne Keeling, 39, Topeka, died Friday, July 25, 2003, at at Topeka hospital. She was born April 5, 1964, in Topeka, the daughter of John P. and Kathryn E. Wilson Keeling. She graduated from Topeka High School. She attended Kansas State University and Washburn University, where she took some courses in veterinary medicine and radiology technology. She obtained a business degree during radiation treatment through a correspondence course and was working on an interior design degree through the correspondence course. She worked as a night auditor for Best Western Motels. She formerly owned and operated a janitorial franchise business and had worked at the Kansas Neurological Institute and was a vendor for A Touch of Home. She designed clothes and made flower arrangements and gift baskets. She married Charles Fountain on Aug. 26, 1984. They were divorced on May 1, 1987. No children were born to this union. She was a member of Eastside Church of Christ in Topeka. Survivors include seven brothers, Robert Troupe Jr., Kenneth Troupe Sr., Aaron Bruce, John P. Keeling Jr., Adrain Keeling, Jacob Keeling and Jousha Keeling, all of Topeka; and five sisters, Judie McQeary and LaDonna Smith, both of Cincinnati, Teresa Garland, Kathy Bruce, and Sharon Keeling, all of Topeka.

My BFF. I miss you everyday. You always knew when I needed to smile or laugh. Your upbeat attitude was always what we needed when we were down. You could always lift us up. You will forever be my bestest friend in the world. I miss and love you always. I still think about the "little yellow chevet"!!!
