Mike Bond

Michael Ray Bond, 47, Elizabethtown, Kentucky, formerly of Topeka, died Wednesday, March 9, 2005, following heart surgery.

Mike was born April 22, 1957 in Topeka, the son of Gerald and Maxine Bond.

Mike attended Holy Name Grade School and graduated from Topeka High School in 1975. He worked in the railroad industry most of his adult life. Currently he was Quality Control Manager of Precision Roller Bearing for the railroad. He was a friend of Bill W. and that made his life the happiest he'd ever been. He touched the hearts of everyone he met.

On September 6, 1985 he and Jeannie Willis were married. She survives. He also leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Nealey Bond, Odessa MO, and Amber Bond, Harrisonville MO; brothers, Richard Bond, Hungry Horse, Mont., Kenny Bond, and Keith Bond, all of Topeka; and his sister, Lisa Bond-Whorton, Topeka.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jerry, Jr., his sister, Linda Wilkinson and his furry human, Sissy Girl, “BJ”.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Name Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Mike Bond Memorial Fund and sent in care of the funeral home.
