In Memory

Frank Housholder

Frank Knox Housholder died unexpectedly Monday, February 25, 2013.  Born December 6, 1956, in Evanston, IL, to Monte & June Housholder, Frank grew up in Topeka, Kansas.   He was very analytical and always posed interesting questions in each conversation he had with friends, family and strangers.  He enjoyed helping people whenever he could.  He was known for his generosity and his advice on politics, business and finance.   He applied these skills as a Database Administrator at Farmland Industries, Federal Reserve Bank and American Airlines, among others.  He was married to Vickey Wiebe of Kansas City, MO, and Christie Thornton of Springtown, TX.  Texas brought joyous memories of working on his ranch.   Living in downtown Kansas City also gave him great pleasure, becoming somewhat of a fixture in a few of the local hangouts.  A private service was held there soon after his death.  Survivors include his mother, June Mikulka, Vashon, WA; brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Trevi Housholder, Vashon; step-brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Debbie Mikulka, Chanute, KS; his niece, Allie Mikulka, Lawrence, Kansas; and his love, Melinda, Kansas City.  He was predeceased by his father, Monte.   He will be released to this earth in Kansas City and Vashon.  In lieu of flowers or donations, please hug someone you love and tell them how special they are to you.
