Ralph C. McMaster, 55, of Wakarusa, Kansas, died Friday, September 9, 2011. He was born July 7, 1956 in Topeka, the son of Frank and Katherine (Rosean) McMaster. Ralph Graduated from Topeka High School in 1975, and attend Kaw Area Vo-Tech where he was trained for his career as a Certified Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic. He retired from the Shawnee County Refuse Department in 2010. Ralph married Betty J. Miles on September 1, 2000 in Topeka. She survives. He is also survived by his son, Frank G. McMaster; daughter, Sara Wendt; sisters, Janette Allen, Billie Nguyen, Candy Phifer, Betty M. Nelson; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Ralph was a member of the North Topeka Saddle Club, the Shawnee County Fair Board, and the Shawnee County Mounted Sheriff Posse. He loved horses, fishing, hunting and aircraft. A celebration of his life will be held from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 13, at the North Topeka Saddle Club, 7341 NW Topeka Avenue.
