A letter to the Class

 

Dear Classmates and Friends of the West High Class of 1981:

We are very excited to invite you to the upcoming Thirty-Fifth (35th) Reunion Celebration of the West High School Class of 1981!

The event will be held over the weekend on August 5th, 6th and 7th, with the Reunion Event commencing at 5:00 p.m. of Saturday night, August 6th. We do hope you will reserve time in your busy schedules to attend, socommit NOW, to reconnecting with your oldest and dearest friends! YOU  are what make these reunions so very wonderful.

Since exiting WHS in 1981, your Reunion Committee has worked extremely hard to keep alive the tradition of reuniting with classmates, faculty and friends every five years, without fail. Each event seems more precious, more special, and quite frankly is perhaps more important than the last.

Take this opportunity to see the many exciting changes to your town and community. Visit former friends and family, meet their children (and grandchildren). Share stories, laughs, and maybe even a few tears. Take a ride down the brand new Redondo Beach Board walk and bike path. Hit the ever-famous Tony's on the Pier. Check out the many new restaurants and hotels, or hang out at Hermosa 2nd Street with a delicious Sauce Sandwich fromMickey's Famous Deli. See the new and improved Del Amo Mall! Wow!

Best of all, bask in the love and comfort, so warmly bonded together, through the sharing of sweet memories. We have been there, done that, and now.... LET’S DO THIS!!!

We would like to ask for your valuable and needed support to keep the tradition going, and growing, and request that as many of you as possible please send in your Early Registration on or before April 30, 2016. This not only guarantees the top-quality event to which we are accustomed to delivering for you, but also helps us to include those extra special touches which make these events rise above all others. If you would like to make a contribution to the event, or sponsor a classmate or friend to attend, such gratuity and hospitality is both welcomed and encouraged.

You Do Not have to have been a Graduating Classmate to attend our 35TH Reunion or gatherings. If you attended 1,2,3,4 OR 5 years at West High and still didn't graduate in the Ceremony it is not required. WE promise none of your past teachers, principles or faculty will be there to grade you or put you on detention but they will be glad to see you. All you have to do is SUIT UP and SHOW UP !! We simply want to see you and catch up and celebrate or lives together in person .

REUNIONS ARE TRULY BEST WHEN PEOPLE SHOW UP!!  not on facebook or in photos. 

Please DON'T MAKE US EXPLAIN WHY YOU ARE NOT THERE or how we can't find you or have us tell half truth inaccurate stories about you!!

Your attending our Reunion, is agreat way to cherish and in some ways reinvent fond memories and friendships again, Even if you are semi nice or will do something facsinating that is fun and we will remember for years to come! Or Not. 

Please bring your friends and family too. They just need to register like everyone else who is attending.
