We had a blast at our 20 Year Reunion!
Most of the class appeared either at Friday's social night or Saturday's dinner.
Friday's casual evening seemed most popular. The party started at Good Ol' Days, then moved to Benchwarmers as the evening wrapped up.
On Saturday, some of us met at Tower's school for a tour. We saw that the gymnasium is still gorgeous. The pool looks exactly the same, we even found a basket with those old swimsuits - remember using shoestrings to hold the straps up? Afterward we gathered at McKinley Park for a picnic with our children. The weather was a cold breezy 62F. A few brave kids swam while others played at the playground. Thankfully it was sunny.
Saturday night began slowly at the Vermilion Club. After supper we spent time sharing stories until the band started up for the evening. The party eventually moved to Fortune Bay to an outdoor concert down by the marina.
Some highlights: Joel Quick surprised and delighted all of his fans with his vocal passion for AC/DC's TNT. A beautifully pregnant Kristine (Torma) Jonas appeared much to our delight. Dale Edberg came back after leaving in the winter of our ninth grade year. Patty (Laugen)Stanaway managed to squeak in an appearance at the dinner after winning second place with her champion show dogs. Jennifer (Korpi) Fredrickson romantically arrived with her high school crush at her side, Mr. Fredrickson, our past music teacher.
There were many other moments of silliness, bravery and good times.
I have heard requests for a 25th reunion. After how much fun we had this time, it just makes sense. Let us know if you have any thoughts about this.
A Special Thanks to Annie (Planton) Tekautz - she single handedly tracked down all classmate addresses and handled all mailings. She is the Reunion Queen.
Thanks also to Rachelle (Politano) Hart - she welcomed everyone to our events with a gorgeous banner that will travel with us throughout our remaining reunions.

See you in a few years!
