 EAST GREENBUSH Carol J. McCormick, 76, of East Greenbush, formerly of Lansingburgh, Cohoes and North Greenbush, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Daniel J. and Evelyn A. Guild McCormick, Sr. and was a graduate of Troy High School, class of 1955. Carol retired from the New York Telephone Company and had previously been employed at the former Peerless Department Store in Troy in the credit office. She was a communicant of St. Augustine's Church in Lansingburgh and had been a communicant of the former St. Patrick's Church in Troy. She was a member and past president of the John J. Phelan Auxiliary #82 of the Army and Navy Union and a member of New York Telephone Pioneers of America, Albany Chapter. Carol was predeceased by one brother, Daniel J. McCormick and his wife Julia and one sister, Ann McCormick. Cherished Aunt Carol of Kathy Durivage (Ken Bubeck), Laura Bellerose (Bob), Sharon McCormick, Michael McCormick (Karen) and Daniel McCormick (Deborah). She is also survived by several great-nieces and nephews. A private funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Augustine's Church in Lansingburgh followed by private interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy. Visitation will be held private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mohawk Hudson River Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204, in memory of Carol J. McCormick. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue, Troy.
