TROY Louis Anthony Marchese, 71, suddenly was called home to Christ on Thursday, May 31, 2007. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Louis Marchese and Addolorata (Ragosta) Marchese. He was the beloved husband of Mary P. (Padalino) Marchese; devoted father of Mary Ann (Tim) Malone and Louis (Jennifer) Marchese Jr.; dedicated grandfather of Elizabeth and Samantha Malone and Anthony and Julianna Marchese; brother of Frank Marchese, Antionette Cioffi Miller and Louise Bowen; and also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Dominick, Charles and Jerry Marchese and a sister, Dorothy Crupe. Lou had resided in Troy all his life, was a graduate of Troy High School class of 1955 and was an outstanding athlete in football and baseball. Lou was inducted into the Ed Picken's Troy High School Hall of Fame in 1997 and also inducted into the Troy Boys Club Hall of Fame in 2001. He was retired from Norton Company in 1994 and in 1990 with his son, Lou Jr., became the new owners of Manory's Restaurant in Troy where he continued to be active until his death. Lou made everyone that came into his establishment feel welcomed, appreciated and loved. He was a devoted husband, father and took great pride in his grandchildren. He was a communicant of St. William's Church in Troy. Funeral service will be held Monday at 9:00 a.m. at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc., 276 Pawling Avenue, Troy and at 9:30 a.m. at St. William's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 4-8 p.m. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy.
