NORTH GREENBUSH -- Gwendolyn E. (Stewart) Wilde, 61, of Pasture Lane, North Greenbush, died Wednesday, March 17, 1999 at her home after a long illness. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lorena (Wagner) Stewart and was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Troy High School, class of 1955. Mrs. Wilde was the director of the Troy Area Senior Service Center and the John F. Kennedy Towers Senior Center until recently retiring. Mrs. Wilde is survived by her husband of 42 years, Maurice Wilde of North Greenbush; her two sons, Gary Wilde of Wynantskill and Mark Wilde of North Greenbush; her sister, Naomi Scutt of Mechanicville; her grandchildren, Kiersten Wilde and Stephen Wilde of North Greenbush and Michael Wilde of East Greenbush; her two nephews, Bobby and Jason Scutt and several cousins. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. from the Wm. Leahy Funeral Home Inc., 336 Third Street, Troy with the Rev. Dr. James Mosher, Pastor of the Woodside Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be in Memory's Garden Cemetery, Colonie. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. It was Mrs. Wilde's request that for those who wish, donations be made in her memory to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 1275 Broadway Ave., Albany, NY 12204.
