LLEUWANA ATKINS SUTTON, THS '55

 

ALBANY — Lleuwana J. Atkins Sutton died suddenly Wednesday at Albany Medical Center. Born in York Pa., she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Virginia Kahley Atkins. She was a 1955 graduate of Troy High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with state Department of State as a clerk, she was also employed at RPI and with the U.S. Postal Service. Survivors include four children, Judith (Romeo) Jones of Troy, Gerald F. Romeo Jr. of Clifton Park, John J. Romeo of Lewiston, and Carla J. (Bavaro) Peterson of Colonie. She was the sister of Charlotte McClellan of Lansingburgh, and Rodger Sutton of Averill Park. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Dominica, Nakia, Jarod, Gerald, Nicholas, Joseph, Michael, Lindsay and Kendahl; one great grandchild, Kaylee; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 2-4 p.m. at the John H. Clinton Funeral Home, Washington Park and Third Street, Troy, followed by a funeral service at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions maybe made to the National Stroke Association, 9707 East Easter Lane, Centennial, Colo. 80112.
