Albert P. Riccardi Jr.
BOLTON LANDING - Albert P. Riccardi Jr., 69, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2009, surrounded by his family at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester following a long illness. Born on May 13, 1939, in Troy, he was the son of the late Albert P. Riccardi Sr. and Philomena (Marro) Riccardi Sr. of Troy. Albert graduated from Troy High School in 1957. He was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve from 1957 to 1960. Albert worked for Niagara Mohawk until he left in 1968. He began his own business, Riccardi Electric Corp., in Troy. He developed Brookline Village Apartments, Brunswick Apartments, Sugar Hill Apartments, Brunswick Hills Apartments, Highland Hills Estates and the Do-Lor-Al Stables (Horse Farm) in Troy. Albert was also the developer of the Brunswick Greens Golf Course complex, plus single family homes in New York and Florida. He was an active member of the Bolton Landing Volunteer Emergency Squad, a former assistant chief at the Brunswick Volunteer Fire Department and a current volunteer of the Fort Pierce Coast Guard Reserve in Florida. Albert was an avid boater and a certified boat captain who enjoyed pleasure boating on Lake George and Florida. He was an owner, trainer and driver of race horses. Albert raced at Saratoga, Yonkers, Monticello and the Meadowlands. He will be remembered as a loving, generous husband, son, father and grandfather. Albert was predeceased by his father Albert Riccardi Sr. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dolores M. (Coallier) Riccardi of Bolton Landing; a son, Albert P. Riccardi III and his wife Dawn of Florida; a daughter, Denise Riccardi-Bagramian and her husband Hmayak of Clifton Park; grandchildren Albert Joseph Riccardi IV, Nicklaus and Grace Bagramian; a brother, Louis Riccardi and his wife Nancy of Rome, NY; a sister, Rosemond Riccardi Galipeau and her husband Andre of Wynantskill; and his mother Philomena Riccardi of Troy. Family and friends are invited and may call from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at Regan and Denny Funeral Home, 53 Quaker Road, Queensbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2009, at Blessed Sacrament Church in Bolton Landing.
