Class of 1958 Award

The Class of '58 has established an annual award to be presented to a graduating Senior who is an "Outstanding Representative of Troy High School," and who contributes to the school image and promotes the betterment of the student body.

2011

We received the following note from the recipient of this year's Class of 1958 Award, James Cross.

"I am writing to thank you for the THS Class of 1958 award. I was very surprised and happy to hear my name called from the podium to receive this award. Some of my fellow classmates were happy to see that I received the award in recognition of my hard work, dedication and commitment.

This upcoming fall I will be attending Albany College of Pharmacy to become a Doctor of Pharmacy. This award is another nice notch on my belt to further strengthen my college's belief that I can do well. It is a six year program, so I will have to be dedicated, work hard and remain committed, but it will be worth it in the end.

Again, thank you for the recognition of my work by being chosen for this award. You have reminded me that hard work, commitment and dedication will be recognized. Some day when I am out of college, I want to have the opportunity to give back to graduating students, like you gave to me."
