The Class of 1958 celebrated their 50th High School Reunion on the weekend of 08/08/08. The Reunion Committee worked together for over a year to make the weekend a memorable occasion. The Committee has kept with the theme of 1958 by holding past reunions around the 8/08 dates. In 1958 the class consisted of 272 graduates. Reunions were held at the 20th, 25th, and 40th years. A few mini gatherings were held in between those years for the classmates who are still in the local area.

The weekend kicked off Friday morning with a golf tournament, arranged by Jim Price of Maine, at the Burden Lake Country Club in Averill Park. Registration and a reception was held at the Troy Elks Club on Friday evening where many memories were brought alive.

On Saturday morning, THS Assistant Principal Richard Pawlusiak, gave us a guided tour of Troy High, and a group photo was taken.

A dinner and reunion celebration was held at the Troy Elks Club on Saturday evening. Honored guests were four of our former teachers:  Coach Charles Boland; Coach Gene DelVecchio; Miss Eileen Rourke, Commercial Teacher; and Mrs. Maryalice (Healy) O'Brien-Smith, Citizenship Ed Teacher.

50th Reunion Yearbooks were presented to all in attendance, and mailed to participants that were unable to attend. The grand finale was a cruise down the Hudson River aboard the Dutch Apple for Sunday Brunch.

There were over 106 in attendance at the various activities including spouses; 76 were class members. Classmates traveled from as far away as Reno, Nevada, for this fun weekend.
