Harold Hems died suddenly from an aneurysm in 1999, while hiking on the Appalachian Trail. After graduating from THS, he traveled extensively throughout the country and lived in Greenville, TX, at the time of his death. He was a very accomplished artist and specialized in greeting cards as well as paintings. He never married and had no children. He was very active in his church in Greenville.
