Houser, Anthony L. Sr. KISSIMMEE, Fla. Anthony L. Houser Sr., 69, of Kissimmee and formerly of Troy, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at his home. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Harry and Ruth Wetherwax Houser, and the beloved husband of Cathy VanDuzer Houser. Mr. Houser faithfully served our country with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam conflict. Once he completed his tour of duty, he returned home and was the owner and operator of Wynantskill Auto Parts. He later retired from the U.S. Post Office on New Karner Road in Albany. Upon retirement, he and his wife moved to Florida to begin a new venture in life. Tony was an avid Red Sox fan, he enjoyed crossword puzzles, camping, traveling in his R.V., and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors, in addition to his wife Cathy, include his children, T.J. (Beth) Houser, Tami Lynn Houser, Bernadette Wolfe, Stacey (Don) Strollo, Cindy (Matthew) Delaney, Michelle (Kevin) Ninstant, Danny (Tina) Biette, Tammy (Angel) Rivera and Billy Biette. He was the brother of Hazel Landry and was also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends as well as his two beloved dogs, Goofy and Major. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, in the Wm. Leahy Funeral Home, 336 Third St., Troy. Interment with military honors will follow at 1:30 p.m., at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. Family and friends are invited and may call on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
