David Dunham

Dunham, David W. Sr. TROY David W. Dunham Sr., 75 of New Turnpike Road, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Archie and Marguerite Teal Dunham. He was a 1964 graduate of Troy High School. Dave had been employed for 26 years at the Ford Motor Co. in Green Island and retired in 1988 when the plant closed. Since then, he was employed at Hudson Valley Community College and later at the ARC in Troy from which he retired. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and playing with his great-grandchildren. Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Sandra Thomas Dunham; and his devoted children, David W. Dunham Jr. of Troy and Erica Hacker (Jason) of Berne. He was the brother of Richard Dunham Sr. (Janice) of Troy and the late Brad and Donald Dunham; and was the brother-in-law of Cynthia Dunham of Johnsonville and the late Antoinette Dunham. He was the proud grandfather of Courtney Ryan, Justin and Cory Dunham, Sabrina and Madison Saunders; and great-grandfather of Briella Balthazar and Karter Dunham. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 12 p.m. in the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy. Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday prior to the funeral from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Due to pandemic regulations, masks are required, social distancing practiced and occupancy limitations observed. David was in my home room class  his desk was next to mine he was a good friend and classmate  sorry to hear this  he will be missed
