Matt Paloski (Paloski)

Paloski, Matthew Michael Sr. AVERILL PARK Matthew Michael Paloski Sr. passed peacefully from this life in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2021, at the age of 75. Born in Troy on November 12, 1946, Matthew was the son of the late Matthew Martin and Grace E. (Moore) Paloski. He was a 1964 graduate of Troy High School and then entered the U.S. Navy serving our nation for three years of active duty which included service on board the Mitscher Class Destroyer, USS Wilkinson (DL-5) followed by three years in the Naval Reserve. He was honorably discharged from active duty in May of 1968 with the rank of E-5. Upon his return from military service, Matt went to work for Duffer's Associates, now Dynamic Systems, Inc. (D.S.I.) in Poestenkill. With D.S.I., Matt enjoyed traveling the world and sharing his knowledge with others for more than 43 years before his retirement in 2012. In his early years, Matt enjoyed hunting with his friends and his brother Bobby at the Dike. In later years he enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling, casino trips with his wife and children and he always loved to tackle a good "Honey Do" list with his "Punk." Matt's family offers their heartfelt thanks to the Community Hospice and to nurses Maria and Wendy for their dedicated care and support during Matt's illness. Matt met the love of his life, Lynn (Kuentzel), at 17 and they have been married for 54 years this past November 28. In addition to his wife, Matt leaves behind his children, Tammy Drewniak (Gino Carey), and M. Michael (Kelly) Paloski Jr.; grandchildren, Lindsay (Byron) Popolizio, Todd Bonesteel, Madison Paloski, Alyssa Vankempen, Marissa Paloski and Baily Paloski; siblings, Donna (Peter) Magagnoli, Barbara Daniels, Robert Paloski (the late Debbie), Betty Paloski, the late Peter (Kris) Paloski, the late Stephen Paloski, Charles Paloski and Mark Paloski; his stepmother, Veronica J. Paloski (Larry Wilkinson); his stepsiblings, Bernadette Guay (Leo), Gordon Bell )Monica), Marjorie Cook and Kenneth Bell; best friends and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Stanley and Charlotte Hablutzel; his uncle, Harry Kwarta as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and his faithful dog, Ebony. Family and friends are invited to visit at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway in Watervliet on Thursday, December 30, from 12 until 1 p.m. following which a prayer service will be celebrated at 1 p.m. by the Reverend Edward Kacerguis. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
