Tom Paskewich VIEW PROFILE

Bob Osterhout has been in touch with Tom over the years and saw him last with other friends from Albia in September 2021 in the Frear Park Pub.  In the absence of an obituary and unable to contact the family, Bob wrote this obituary below.  If anyone would like to contribute other information about Tom’s life, please be in touch.

Thomas Paskewich passed away in early April 2021 at the age of 75.  Tommy was the son of the late Thomas W. Paskewich and Stella Spiak Paskewich.  He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Bonnie Andrews Paskewich and his children Scott and Rebecca.  He is also survived by his sisters Carol and Donna.  Tommy grew up on the east side of Troy attending schools 15 and 16.  He graduated from Troy High School in 1964.  After graduating from Potsdam State University, Tom spent his working years in health related professions in the Albany/Saratoga area.  In retirement Tom and Bonnie moved from Ballston Lake to Oak Ridge TN to be near their daughter.

Paskewich, Tom OAK RIDGE, Tenn. Our hearts ache over the loss of Tom Paskewich on March 31, 2022. Tom was a kind and loving husband to Bonnie Paskewich, as well as an amazing father to his son and daughter. His grandchildren meant the world to him. Though Tom is no longer with us, he will never be forgotten. He leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends who were always entertained by his stories, possible advice, and laughter. He always had a smile on his face and a good joke on his lips. There is nothing he enjoyed more than an interesting conversation. Tom always had a way of being the life of the party. There will be a family celebration of his life on the lake, in his boat, with food, drinks, laughter and good memories shared, and Neil Diamond blaring in the wind. This is how he would have wanted his life celebrated. Please celebrate the good memories you have of Tom and remember, life, no matter what it brings... Live it! To the fullest! He will be missed more than any words could express; but he will be forever in our hearts until we meet again! In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you hug your loved ones tight and consider donating to a local charity that spreads love in the community.

I was very sadden to read about Tommy's passing....When we were kids, long before THS ,our family and the Paskewich's were friends...I'm not sure exactly why or what the connection was but I have a feeling it had to do with Tom's family hiring our family band for various church functions....Over the years when I worked as a musician, I would run into Tommy at various functions and we immediately recognized each other....I think the last time we saw each other may have been at the Eagles Club right adjacent to Lake Lonely (Saratoga area)  We always spoke and had a laugh or 2.... May he rest in pease ..

I can see him now at school 15.  The bell would ring and the girls raceed to one door and the boys to another.  Classes were small then and everyone knew everyone and their quirks and where to hang their stuff in the cloak room.  Tommy was very well liked, funny and smiley.  And he got along with the girls in times when there was a complete separation of roles and social distance.  I wish I had kept Valentines delivered from the box with the slit on top.  I believe he was a delivery person one of those years.  Memories of a sweet person;  a sweet time long ago.  Love to his family and hugs all around.
