PROVOST, JR., DAVID – THS 1964

BRUNSWICK - David E. Provost, Jr., 65, entered into eternal life in the loving comfort and care of his family at his residence on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 following a long illness. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late David E. and Anna Byrne Provost, Sr. and was a graduate of Troy High School, Class of 1964. Dave was a decorated U.S. Army veteran having served in the Vietnam War. Dave retired from a career of over 25 years at the Ford Motor Company in Green Island. After retiring, he was then employed by the New York State DOT, NYS Canal Corporation and retired from the NYS Office of Parks in Grafton. He was a communicant of Transfiguration Parish in Speigletown and was a very kind man who loved his family and country. Beloved husband of over 44 years of Kathleen L. Lockwood Provost of Brunswick, devoted father of Dana (Leo) Sbardella of Harrisburg, NC and Darcy (Ian) Pogue of Brunswick, brother of Marianne Feldman of Troy, Janet Provost of Poestenkill and the late Bernard Provost, cherished grandfather of Nicholas, Andrew, Daniel and Luke Sbardella, Kaelin and Ciara Pogue, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m. at Transfiguration Parish (formerly St. Bonaventure's Church), 50 Hillview Rd., Troy, by Rev. George P. Fleming, Pastor. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the White-Sanvidge Funeral Home, 58 Leversee Road (RT-40 in Speigletown) in Troy. Interment with military honors will be held in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to the Rev. Francis A.
