Barbara J. Bullock, THS ‘64
MALTA - Barbara J. Bullock, 64, of Malta, and formerly of Cohoes, died on April 29, 2010, at the Saratoga Hospital after a long illness. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Alice LaFond Sweeney and the devoted wife of 37 years to David Bullock of Malta. Mrs. Bullock was a graduate of Troy High School, class of ‘64, and was retired medical transcriptionist for Northeast Health - Eddy Cohoes. She was an avid doll collector and was the former parent advocate for the Committee on Special Education for the Cohoes City School District. Survivors in addition to her husband include sons David Bullock II of Saratoga Springs and Timothy Bullock (Lisa) of Malta; daughter Danielle Guild (Craig) of Cohoes; granddaughter Erin Guild; sister Patricia Corrigan (Tom) of Malta; and brother Michael Sweeney of Clifton Park. She was predeceased by her sisters Alice Sweeney and Linda Sweeney and brother George Bishop. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. from the Frank P. McDonald & Son Funeral Home, 870 Second Avenue between 124th and 125th streets in Lansingburgh, and at 9 a.m. at Assumption St. Paul’s Church in Mechanicville. Friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery in Schuylerville. The family would like to thank Dr. Olai Sam and the staff of the Cancer Treatment Center at Samaritan Hospital, especially nurses Jackie, Lauren, Kelly and Barbara.
