So sad to hear this news about Chuck. He was one of my best pals at THS. Enjoyed the times we played golf together and him always rooting us on to victory on the basketball court. All the best to his family.
I am so saddened to hear about Chuck - a warm, kind, funny, delightful human being and a great friend to me dating back to the neighborhood, School 16, and Boy Scouts. The fondest of memories are flooding back to me.
It's always a sad occasion when one of our THS class passes away. My memories of Chuck go back to 1956 when I moved to Troy from Long Island. His family lived in a big house on the corner of Hoosick and Burdett. We attended School 18 together and walked down Hoosick St from Sycaway after school. He was involved in Pee-Wee Hockey and convinced me to join even though I had never ice skated before. We were good friends for two years at which point my family moved to Pawling Ave and I started at School 16. We stayed in touch every Saturday morning playing on the same Pee-Wee Hockey team. But, alas, the friendship faded. Our paths didn't cross as often but we always had a smile and kind words for each other when they did. It is so nice to see that Chuck had a good life, a big family, and friends, however brief, that will always carry fond memories of him. My sincere condolences go out to Chuck's family.
Steve, not sure if you remember me. I played with you and Chuck on the golf team and loved it. Having moved away right after high school, I lost track of all you folks. Chuck was so much fun to be around as was Shannon, you and the rest of the crew. I also loved watching you and Jewry play ball. Peace. Paul Sullian
