DeBONIS, PATRICIA, THS 1964

WATERFORD - Patricia "Patty" DeBonis, 64, of Shear Ct. died Wednesday March 23, 2011 at Samaritan Hospital. Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late George O. Burdick and Gladys Cropsey Burdick and stepdaughter of the late Evelyn Lewis Burdick. She was a 1964 graduate of Troy High School. Patty was employed for 6 years as an Administrative Secretary for the Athletic Department at RPI in Troy and retired in 1991. Prior to that she was employed at SUNY in Albany in the Drama Department and also in the Pharmacy at the former Cohoes Hospital. She was a member of the Columbiettes in Cohoes, the Troy Lodge of Elks Auxiliary and the Tuesday Night Strikers Bowling League. Patty loved doing crafts and reading but especially enjoyed buying presents for family and friends. She is survived by her husband Daniel F. DeBonis. The couple would have celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on April 15th of this year. She is the mother of Brian D. DeBonis of Waterford and Jody L. Beaulac (Jeremy) of Clifton Park and sister of Elaine Bechard (Bob) of Waterford and Kevin Lewsey of Greenwich. Also surviving is her grandson Dylan J. Beaulac as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Cohoes. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday 4-7 p.m. Those who wish may make contributions to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure , Breast Cancer Fund or the Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society in care of the funeral home office.
