Troy- Joe E. Murray, 70, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Sunday, September 30, 2018. He was the son of the late Booker T. and Rozella Murray.

Joe enjoyed listening to music especially Jimi Hendrix and Tina Turner. He also loved sports including, boxing, karate, football and NASCAR. 

He is survived by his three daughters, Toshia Murray, Christina Murray and Taffeta Murray and his 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren , 1 nephew, several nieces and a host of other relatives and friends including, Sally Walston, Henrietta Edge and Frank Moses. 

Joe is predeceased by his brother Eugene Dukes and sisters Christine Smith and Hannah Conyers. 

A calling hour will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 9:00am-10:00am at Bethel Baptist Church, 2165 5th Ave, Troy, NY 12180. A funeral ceremony will begin at 10:00am with interment following at Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy.
