CHARLES “CHARLIE” PETERS Deceased 3/17/2008
TROY - Charles J. Peters, 57, of Brunswick, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2008, at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Joseph and Adelaide Fuller Peters.
Mr. Peters was a graduate of Troy High School and received two associate’s degrees from Hudson Valley Community College in Troy.
He was retired from the Watervliet Arsenal and also had worked as a driver for the Laidlaw Bus Co. and in the maintenance department at Hudson Valley Community College.
Mr. Peters was a former Boy Scout leader and volunteer with the Speigletown Fire Department.
He enjoyed fixing things and watching “J.A.G.” reruns and, most importantly, spending time with his children.
Survivors include his daughter Jenna Howe (Matt) of Latham and sons Jarrod Peters of Troy and Justin Peters (Stephanie) of Richmond, VA.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Gardner Earl Memorial Chapel in Oakwood Cemetery in Troy.
