Frank J. Anselment

WATERVLIET Frank J. Anselment, 54, of Alamogordo, died Tuesday, February 3, 2004, in Alamogordo.

Frank was born January 26, 1950 in Troy, N.Y. to Frank Joseph and Virginia Judge Anselment. He attended college at Hudson Valley Community College after graduating from Troy High School.

He entered the United States Air Force in 1972. He served in Operation Desert Storm. He proudly served his country for over 20 years, retiring in 1992.

Shortly after his retirement, he returned to college at New Mexico State University - Alamogordo from 1993 to 1994. He was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 7686 where he was post commander from 1999 to 2000.

Frank was a devoted son, husband and father. Survivors include his wife Lisa Anselment of Alamogordo; his mother, Virginia Doin of Watervliet, N.Y.; two daughters, Jennifer Anselment and Karen Anselment, both of Alamogordo; a sister, Deborah Doin of Watervliet; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews in N.Y. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Joseph Anselment.

Funeral services will be on Friday morning at 10 o'clock in the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet where Rev. Michael Cournoyer will officiate. Burial with full military honors will take place in the Saratoga National Cemetery on Friday at noon.
