TROY- Peter Dean Wood passed away peacefully on Monday, June 10, 2002 after a long illness. Born in Troy, Dean was son of the late John and Dorothy Wood. Dean retired from the U.S. Navy after serving 21 years and two tours in Vietnam. He was one of the most decorated Navy veterans in New York State. He also worked at the post office.
He was the beloved father of two children, Kelly Wood and Jason Wood. He is also survived by brothers, John K. Wood, Paul F. Wood, Timothy P. Wood, Christopher Wood, sisters Mary Dana Hummel, Mary Denise Marchese, Mary Jane Bova; numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
He is predeceased by his brother Cornelius Wood.
