After attending the University of Arizona for undergraduate school, I worked at the Arizona Historical Society, then for four years at the national non-profit voter education service Project Vote Smart, and then spent many years in graduate school at Boston University, where I earned a Ph.D. in art history in 2008. In 2007, I returned to Tucson for a dream job at the Center for Creative Photography, where I have a joint appointment at the Phoenix Art Museum. I create photography exhibitions that go on view at a dedicated photography gallery in the Phoenix Art Museum - I recently curated an Ansel Adams exhibition there.
