Monika lived with my family during our Senior Year of High School. Her parents moved to Hawaii and she wanted to finish out school. Most of my Senior memories include Monika as well as our family photos that year. She and I lost touch in our 30's and was devastated to find out she passed away at 35 from an illness. She left behind three boys, her mom and sister. I will miss her. She was a good friend to me for many years.
