Anita was taken way too soon from her family and group of friends. She was a warm-hearted young woman who was loved and trusted by all in our group.I remember her best for comforting me when I was down, and for her great smile and laugh. Anita died tragically in a car accident coming down Mt. Lemmon after a party one night in '72 or '73, as I recall. Her boyfriend, Danny Burton, survived the crash after going off the road that night, and, in his grief, was never the same after. He also died as the result of an accident, of injuries after crashing his motorcycle, I think in '75. Friends miss them both, and all of our lives were changed from their passing.
