It is with a sad heart that I let the class of 1969 know of the loss of one of their own. Lynn C. Monka passed into the great beyond. I met her our sophomore year and a no more faithful and interesting friend I could have ever asked for. She was stubborn and opinionated but if you needed her she would be there no matter what. My family and I will miss and mourn her passing. She loved to travel and meet new people and cultures. Now onto the ultimate adventure. Until we all meet again. I didn't know Lynn well in high school, but had a chance to catch up with her at one of the reunions. She spoke of her recent health scare, and having to quit a job at the U of A which she obviously loved. She was so positive and upbeat despite what life had thrown her way. If she is experiencing my version of heaven, I hope she is reliving some version of the life she enjoyed on earth. I hope Lynn's family will be able to soon think of her and smile.

Lynn, was a very kind person but stubborn and feisty if you crossed the line so to say.
