Scottsdale – Gail Elizabeth Kohler passed away at her home on April 19, 2022 after a year long battle with cancer. Gail was born in Chicago, Il, but quickly relocated to Tucson, Arizona for her childhood. She attended the University of Arizona earning a BS in Sociology and went on to an additional Paralegal degree from Phoenix College.

She is survived by her husband Frank of 50 years, son Joel, and daughter Leslie. Brothers and sisters, Gwen Wilson, Karen Ord, Tom Kircher and Paul Kircher. Grandchildren, Ashlinn, Ellis and Harrison.

She was an active Metropolitan Opera Fan, along with Broadway productions and stage plays. She enjoyed playing Bridge at any day or time, puzzles, and enjoyed time with grandchildren at many card and board games.

An excellent cook and a better baker. Everyone she met loved her friendly and warm style. Donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, Phoenix AZ.

I was so sorry to hear of Gail's death. I remember her with fondness, especially her characteristic voice - would have recognized it anywhere!

I think it was during the first reunion I attended that I stayed wih her and her family in Phoenix. She was a lovely person and a good friend during my AFS year at PV. I am going to miss her! My deepest sympathy to all her family, Angie

Gail was lovely woman with a lovely smile. At every one of our reunions, I would be sure I’d say hi to her and to see what she was up to. Sincere condolences to her family. She will be missed.
