Steven Randall Folks November 23, 1950 - February 21, 2007 Steven Randall "Randy" Folks died peacefully at his mothers home in Grand Junction, Colorado at the age of 56 after a long illness. Randy was born in Grand Junction at the original St. Mary's Hospital. He grew up in the four corner states and graduated from Palo Verde High School in Tucson, Arizona. Randy pursued a variety of career paths that culminated as a railroad engineer for Union Pacific. After a disabling accident, he began working in sales positions. Randy enjoyed reading, camping, cooking, music, dancing and being a loving husband, father and son with his extended family. While married to his first wife, Katherine Glennon, three sons were born; Eric Steven, Scott Randall and Jeffery Robert. Later in life, Randy married Mary Jo Wadsworth on June 14, 1986 in St. George, Utah and their union yielded another son, Gregory Lewis and his only daughter, Emily Paige. Randy was preceded in death by his father, Robert N. folks in 2002. He is survived by his wife and children, four grandchildren, as well as his mother, Betty Folks and his brothers; Bob, Tom, Gary and his only sister, Dawn Folks. A memorial service was held at First United Methodist Church in Grand Junction on February 23, 2007. Memorial gifts may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado.
