Favorite School Story or Funny Memory you'd like to share

I was not popular but enjoyed my high school years. Helped in the library. I remember one day I wore a goofy outfit which at the time I didn't think so. It was a blue skirt which I had made and white thigh high cable knit socks! Ugh!
I liked horses and had a friend at school who had one. Went riding with her at Palo Verde Stables. It only cost $1.50 an hour! In 1988 went back to visit my brother and went horseback riding and then it was $13.00! Now I know it is much more!
I also took art classes all four years and wanted to be an artist. That didn't happen.

What did you do after graduation?

After graduation I went to Guam and returned engaged to a young man in the Navy.

I went to the University of Guam for a semester from 1969-70. Returned to Tucson and attended Lamson Business College.

Just to Guam and various places in the USA
Just did a trip to Maine and enjoyed Bar Harbor and hiking in Baxter State Park. In 2016 spent time on Colorado at Estes State Park, Colorado Springs and The Royal Gorge.

Where is your favorite place to go?

To the beach like Ocean city, or the mountains like the Shenadoah mountains in VA. Now I like to visit our daughter and family in South Carolina.

Comments:

I married in Nov 1970. Husband was in the Navy, retired in 1997 and been living in VA since 1974. We have 7 grandchildren, one great grandchild, one. the oldest is 22-3. I have fullfilled a lifelong dream of owning horses and have two right now. Just love it! Am active in church choir and one community chorus. Didn't sing in school but have been doing so the last 30 years. Also active in Community Bible Study. I teach preschoolers. This is just one day a week. Keeps me focused on God.

Hi Nina! So glad to see your pictures! My how we have changed! I am hoping to attend our 50th reunion this fall. Would you be able to attend? I know it is a long trip for you. Alaska is beautiful! My husband and I watch the Alasken tv show about people living in the wilderness and living off the land. Tough living especially in the winter! Love your animals! I still have 2 horses I ride. They are up in years but doing well for now. They are 30 and 23.
