HOGAN, Janis Marie was born to Robert and Evelyn (Copley) Lynn on March 3, 1951 in Santa Fe, NM. Jan married Patrick Henry Hogan on May 18, 1973 at Catalina United Methodist Church in Tucson. She was predeceased by her mother July 15, 2007. She is survived by her husband, Patrick Hogan and daughters, Erin Brooke Hogan of Tucson and Lara Lynn Hogan of Baltimore, MD.; father, Robert Lynn; brother, Gary Lynn (Ruth Ann); sister, Pam Allen (Toby) all of Tucson. She is also survived by sister, Gayla Royston (Bob) of Canton, MI. Jan was a multi-talented lady who authored an autobiography in 1992 entitled "In Spite of Everything." Jan was an inspiration to many as she battled multiple sclerosis for 32 years. She fought her disease with courage and defiance while always maintaining a sense of humor. She succumbed to her disease on July 15, 2012 in Tucson. A Memorial Service officiated by Rev. Billy Still was held 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2012 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 8151 E. Broadway. The family expressed its thanks for all the cards, visits and prayers. Special thanks to the caregivers at Peppi's Hospice. Memorial contributions are requested to be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church Memorial Garden or Peppi's House.

I'm very sorry to hear about Janis's death.  It sounds like she handled her condition with strength and grace.
