MADISON, James      James Jerold Madison, III, 54, of Summerville, SC, husband of Shirley Baker, died Saturday, December 17, 2005, in Bethesda, MD of cancer. A memorial service was held in Parks Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday afternoon, December 22, 2005. 

Jerry was born July 25, 1951, in Concord, CA, a son of James Jerold Madison, Jr., and Lillian Mary Maasen Madison. He was a Chief in the US Navy and a member of the US Submarine Veterans Association. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Baker of Summerville, SC; his parents of Clyde, TX; one son, James J. Madison, IV, and wife Jennifer of Simpsonville, SC; one daughter, Janice L. Smith and husband David of New Delhi, India; two step-sons, Jay Baker and wife Lisa of Lexington, SC, and Scott Baker of Summerville, SC; one brother, Rodney E. Madison of Seattle, WA; three sisters, Deborah Walls of Summerville, SC, Sheri L. Trent of Clyde, TX and Susan M. Lewicki; seven grandchildren, Emilee Claire Madison, Lauren Olivia Madison, James Isaac Madison, Connor Ryan Smith, Aidan James Smith, Morgan Baker and Jay Baker.
