STEELE, Kathryn Ruth died unexpectedly in Bainbridge Island, WA on September 6, 2016. Kathy was born January 17, 1951 in Albuquerque, NM. The family soon relocated to Raton, NM where Kathy spent ten happy years. The family then moved to Tucson, AZ where Kathy attended Wheeler elementary school, Fickett Jr. H.S, graduating from Palo Verde H.S. She is survived by her daughter, Corene (Nate) Hawk; son, Sean Steele (Evonne Reinke); granddaughter, Olivia Hawk; brothers, Steven and Paul (Lisa) Marcek; nephew, Alex Marcek; mother, Elinor Marcek and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, plus dear friends, Sue Brown, Rita Garstad and Bill Olson. Her father, George S. Marcek predeceased her. Kathy was kind and generous and loved animals especially cats. She almost always had a pussycat living with her. Contributions in Kathryn's memory can be made to the Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter, 4501 E. 22nd Street, Tucson, AZ 85710. A Memorial Celebrating Kathy's life will be held at a later date in Tucson, AZ.
