In Memory

Jenny Lynn Pepe

Jenny Lynn Pepe was born on July 23, 1951 in Bogalusa, Louisiana to Angelo John Pepe and Antoinette Borden Pepe.

She died in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on June 17th 1988 at the age of 36.

She was survived by her parents, Angelo Pepe and Antoinette Borden, brother Mark Pepe, her husband Joe Babinski and two daughters Aimee and Aniella.

Jenny Lynn (Lynn) was a member of the cheerleading squad at Palo Verde High School and graduated with many academic honors. After graduating from PV she attended the University of Arizona and became a member of the Varsity Cheerleaders as a freshman. She married her high school sweetheart Joe Babinski after her freshman year of college. She then attended Arizona Western for one year and then the next two years at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. She was very loving and supportive of her husband as he played basketball at both universities. After graduating from NSU both Lynn and her husband became educators at the High School level. Lynn taught English and became the Cheerleading Sponsor, while her husband taught Math and coached Men’s Basketball. They started a family in 1982 with the birth of daughter Aimee Beth and four years later with daughter Aniella. After the birth of Aniella, Lynn developed breast cancer and passed away in 1988. During her two and a half year courageous fight with breast cancer she continued being a loving and caring wife and mom.

So sorry to hear this.  My most sincere condolences to you Joe and family. It's so sad to hear things like this long after. Titan alumni are so spread across the country it's difficult to keep in touch. Again Joe sorry to hear of your lovely wife.

Aloha to Big Joe and family,

Joe, I remember you and Lynn very fondly.  Both wonderful people and I can only imagine how fantastic your children are.  Lynn was a beautiful young lady and a beautiful high school kid.  You two made a great couple.

Sorry, not to have seen you much after graduation Joe, in fact, I think the last time may have been at Arizona Western......when we were gonna room together but I decided to go back to the UA.

You take care my friend.  And, if you are ever in Hawaii please contact me.  My email is jackcgardner@hotmail.com.

Aloha Big Joe,

You and Lynn are in my thoughts and prayers.
