Jerry Stillson

Jerry Everett Stillson, age 65, passed away suddenly at his home on June 14, 2017.

He was born August 29, 1951 in Windsor, Vermont to Earl William and Lora Smith Stillson. His family moved to Tucson, Arizona in December of 1953.

Jerry moved to Utah in 1975 while working for the railroad. He then worked 41 years at Soldier Creek/ Dugout Canyon Mine where he retired in September of 2016.

Jerry married Karen Sue Brinkley on December 19, 1976. They had three children, Shannon, Eric and Justin. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing and going on long rides with his furry best friend Zara. He enjoyed his grandkids very much and rarely missed watching one of their many events. He will be greatly missed.

RIP Jerry. NAU was never the same after you left. From skunks in Patagonia to the 'Barn' in Flag, we had quite a journey. Jerry was a good friend and traveling companion.

I really got to know Jerry at NAU. We had a lot of good times up there! I remember the barn and the Lava River Cave. I'm so sorry to hear that he passed.
