Ramon Gallego Gastelum

Ramon Gallego Gastelum born February 5, 1949 was called into Heaven September 18, 2014. Preceded in death by his loving mother and father, Concepcion and Margarito Gastelum. Ramon was a loving husband, father and Tata. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Christina; sister, Anna (Manny) Almazan; daughters, Monica and Yvonne (Luis) Cañez; sons, Daniel and Gabriel; grandchildren, Rene Gastelum, Luis Jr. and Ariana Cañez and Mariana Gastelum; great- granddaughter, Madison and only Godson, Jerry Gonzales Jr.; many nieces and nephews, family and friends. Ramon worked for Pima Community College for 35 years as a Receiving Clerk. He loved being a softball coach and traveling with the men's softball team for many years, they were his other family. He also loved sitting outside listening to his music of Little Joe. Ramon loved watching his sports, his favorite teams: NY Yankees, ASU and Oakland Raiders. He loved the walks to the swap meet, the drive to his uncles ranch and never missed the Pima County Fair. A Memorial Mass will be on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret's Church, 801 N. Grande Ave., Tucson, AZ 85745. Celebration of Life after Mass at the Gastelum residence.
