Gilbert was one of my oldest freinds and his father was a great mentor to me in my younger years. Gordo and I played baseball at Rodeo park since we were about 8 years old along folks like Billy Vega, Conrad Rodriguez, and Kenny Beasley. Although we did not keep in touch over the last few years, I was fortunate to see Gilbert and his dad before his passing. We laughed and reminissed about the past because that was where our paths crossed and most enduring memories were kept. Peace my friend.
