Robert B. Blum September 24, 1960 - October 25, 2007 Preceded in death by parents, Allen and Gloria Blum, and son Sgt. Aron Blum, USMC. Survived by wife, Dale Blum, sons, Ashlin and LCpl. Atly Blum, USMC; brothers, Jeffrey (Mary), Andrew; sisters, Wendy Zepeda, Nina (Neil) Rosenfeld, and many nieces and nephews. As a child, Robert played for the U.S. in the championship game of the Little League World Series in 1974. Robert was a graduate of Rincon High School in 1978, and went on to be an entrepreneur with Holsum Bakery since 1979. In 1982, Robert married Dale and they have three loving sons. Robert coached Sahuaro Little League, 1989-2000, and continued coaching Pony Baseball until 2003, with strong spirit and dedication for all his players. Robert was a friend and a father to many, and he will be deeply missed by all. Memorial Service will be held at Palo Verde Park, 300 S. Mann at 12:30 P.M. on Friday, November 2, 2007. Celebration of Robert's life to follow at the family home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Aplastic Anemia and MDS International Foundation in memory of his son Sgt. Aron Blum, USMC.
