David Richard Morkert 10/11/1959 - 7/1/2014 David was taken unexpectedly while doing something he loved, running in Sabino Canyon. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Alice; three children, Lindsey, Grace and Steven and mother, Arlys. David will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor. His practical jokes are embedded in family lore and his sense of humor will be missed terribly. He loved to laugh. David loved spending time with his family, traveling and being at the ocean. He was dedicated to daily workouts at the gym and competed in triathlons. David was born in Tucson and attended Rincon High and the University of Arizona before working in the construction industry for 30 years. Recently, he went back to school to pursue a career in physical therapy and found his passion for working with the elderly. He was fulfilled through service to others and was never afraid of a challenge. David was a dedicated and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. David, the lives you touched are many and may the great outpouring of love we now feel with your passing carry you swiftly to be with God in heaven. We will celebrate David's life with a Service at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 7, 2014 at Christ Community Church, 7801 E. Kenyon Dr.
