Cari and I shared some classes during school, but did not become friends until the Sahuaro High School ten year reunion. We were seated next to each other during dinner and became fast friends. She was dear to my heart and we maintained our friendship up to her death. My husband and I attended the memorial her family hosted in their home in Tucson 2009. Although at her most beautiful prior to her death, she had a five year+ battle with cancer, and showed signs of recovery amidst set backs. What a fighter she was. I miss her still! She was a dear friend, excellent educator and accomplished horseman. The list of Cari praises are too long to list them all. But I know Cari was a strong Christian and that she rests in a wonderful place. Be well my friend. Always yours, Laurie
