Does anyone have a video of the talent shows?? Any year would work, but I'm specifically thinking of the year that our gals did the Lady Card Shuffle. :) Pictures, video, anything would be awesome!
If you miss the deadline for payment, please don't think that means you cannot attend the Reunion weekend. We made a deadline so 1) we would have funds to pay deposits, etc and 2) to get a headcount for food and stuff. We don't want anyone to think the only reason that can't come is because they missed the deadline. Just please let us know so we can plan for you! We can always work out the money situation, but we don't want to get there Friday and Saturday nights and run out of food and goodies!
I have some photo's of the swim team, senior spring break vacation, and some other high school times. If you still have time to add them, I will scan them and get them over to you.
Saturday is casual? My wife is asking since I have never been to the Stokely's Event Center.
Thanks to eveyone for putting this together. Look forward to seeing everyone.
We are now just two weeks out...For those already planning on attending, we wanted to say we are all looking forward to getting together, and to give a little more detail on the festivities. For those still uncertain, we hope this will entice you to make the decision to come!
Friday night at Fox and Hound...we have the room to the left of the bar, with the pool tables, reserved for just us from 7-11. Pool tables will be open for free play and we will have light appetizers available; drinks are on your own. We will not be sending out tickets to those who have paid, but will have a guest list and name tags and someone at the door. If you have not paid but are planning on coming and paying at the door, we will set up to take payment in the form of cash and check only as we won't be able to do credit card/paypal payments that night. Ticket price at the door is $50 per person for the whole weekend of activities.
Saturday Family time at Andy B's...we have reserved/paid for 10 lanes for 2 hours in their VIB area (noon-2 pm). Shoe rental (@ 2.99 per person) and food/drinks will be on your own. If you plan to attend the family event but have not let us know, please try to do so by end of next week. 10 lanes will be enough for 50 people, which at this time we believe is enough. However, if we have a lot more that show up that we do not know about, we would hate to not have enough lanes to support everyone. So please, send an email to eccardinals89@yahoo.com if you are planning on coming to the family day event.
Saturday night at Stokely's...the theme is Mexican fiesta! We will have music, entertainment, Mexican buffet (including fajitas, appetizers and more), games, prizes, and of course, reminiscing... J Soda and water will be provided; there will be a cash bar as well. Stokely's is a great place, fun atmosphere and relaxed. Forget the 10 year reunion, forget the "cliques" from high school. This night is about remembering old times, getting to know each other again, making new friends and just sitting back and relaxing together. We will have a few t-shirts on sale for $10 each. There will also be a photographer taking party pix, so don't forget to bring a little cash with you for those great extras! You can buy pictures that night from him, or he will have them up on his website to view and order at a later date.
We have had a few questions about what to wear. The answer is casual dress all weekend, just be comfortable and have fun!
I think that is it for now. If anyone has questions, you can send an email to eccardinals89@yahoo.com or post it here.
Only 10 days?? Why am I breaking into a sweat?? No, breathe...everything is going to come together perfectly. Right? :/
Yes, I pretty much always feel this much stress before an event...I just want everyone to have a good time, otherwise I'll feel like it's all my fault. (Geez, narcisstic much??!!)
We have 90+ tickets sold, and a few that have said they will pay at the door that night. I'm expecting to see 100-120. Of course, we could be surprised and have more than that show up at the door, who knows!
What?!?!?! I'm here! Now it's 4 more days!!!!!!!!!!! I have no nails...I MUST put that on my list! :/ Sue, it's all good... I say that just to make you feel better but, I've been having nightmares every night! :/
It's over.... :( Hard to believe it. I had such a great time, I hope you guys did too. I not only got to talk to people I was close to in hs, but got to know people better that I didn't really know back then. (Vance, Rick, Stan, Clay, you guys are so dang funny! I'm so glad I got to hang with you a little. Even tho Rick kept egging on my husband to tell dirty jokes on the microphone! Shame...)
I hope the message board will liven up a little now that we have all had a chance to see each other and talk. I am setting up a photobucket account so that anyone who wants to can add their pictures to it. You can log onto to www.photobucket.com, the login id is ECHS89_2009, the password is cardinals. Once I have mine uploaded, I'll have TJ put a link somewhere on the home page so you can access it and add to it!
The reunion was so flipping awesome!!!! I really hope that the message board does come to life again! I really hope that we can get enough responses to the survey I posted as well. It will help us to determine if we want to do a 25 year reunion. Also it might help other to see that with a little bit of persistance and enough people to help we "Cardinals" can do ANYTHING!!!
It was nice to see everyone! and to get to talk to so many of you guys! If you haven't posted some pics of you on your profile, please do...lets keep up this site and keep up with each other!!!
Ok...this is some funny stuff!!! The Cha Cha Slide. Looks like some of my fellow Cards either don't know how to do it or the alcohol had really kicked in.
Those are great TJ. I do wish someone would have gotten video of the donkey relay, that was hilarious! But we do have good pictures for future blackmail...LOL.
Why isn't anyone talking?? Guess everyone who has anything to say is on Facebook....ah, the power of technology...
