Thanks for all the birthday wishes! It's been a great day. I got to sleep in because school was canceled due to the ice. Jim also stayed home because he couldn't navigate the roads around our house. He was really sweet and made a big breakfast for all of us (and even cleaned up the mess afterward!). Then we all went sledding down the street in our neighborhood. Really fun, and didn't crash into anything! Came back and drank hot chocolate and sat by the fireplace to warm up. Late in the day the ice turned to snow. I wrapped up in a blanket and sat out on the back porch for a while enjoying the gentle quiet that seems to envelope everything while snow falls. Why is that, I wonder? After I got cold I came inside and made snickerdoodles with Rachel. I think we've already eaten about half of them. And bonus!.....No school tomorrow either, so I can stay up late and sleep in again! Score!!
Aren't simple pleasures the greatest?

stacy-- im sure all those cookie tasters of yours wouldnt let to many cookies escape the house.... :) thats how it was growing up at my parents house, anytime my mom made cookies, she had to make extra just to escape with a few. lol.

Okay somebody needs to say something or I might be forced to get weird on you all or worse....sappy!!!

I was cropping pictures all day and I saw one that was really disturbing. It was a black and white photo taken in the library. There were people talking and having a good time and right in the middle of it was this dork of a girl studying! The scary part is that it was me! Why didn't someone slap me and tell me to act like a teenager back then?

How is everyone doing? Happy Birthday to all whom I've missed and anyone else coming soon!

We're looking at visiting Tulsa in late June. Maybe July if June doesn't work out. Is anyone else coming into town in June?
