Hosier, Chuck THERE WAS A MIRACLE in the early morning at 4:45 AM Wednesday, February 27th; Charles (Chuck) Morgan Hosier clutched his wife's hand tightly and with the other hand gripped the hand of Jesus and 'walked' through the light of Heaven with a restored body free from the debilitating effects of his 6 year journey with cancer. Chuck bravely fought for the last 1 1/2 years through unbearable pain and the outpouring of devoted prayers have been answered; Chuck is now finally pain free. He and his wife traveled worldwide seeking treat-ments from Germany to Mexico and along that journey met numer-ous friends who have become family. Together they have establish-ed many avenues for extensive research and sources to share their discoveries of ways in which others may benefit in living an improved quality of life through cancer. Chuck never failed to valiantly try treatments that will make a difference for others who face this wicked and disgusting disease. The lives Chuck touched throughout his life has forever left an influence that will make a difference for gener-ations. Some of his last words were, "I love my Lord Jesus Christ and Savior more than anything." Chuck's faith was displayed in the way he reached out to connect people, it was as if the Lord gave him special senses in his spirit when he met people to intersect their lives. Chuck was a very special gift from God to this world and his absence will be missed by a host of his friends and family. Chuck was born on January 28, 1951 and grew up in the glory of the Crimson Tide, Tuscaloosa, Alabama where he gained his Masters Degree in Advertising and Marketing at the University of Alabama as a Sigma Chi of which he was devoted. Chuck was involved in many interesting projects through his career in the advertising world and kept us all entertained with his many great stories. Chuck brought laughter and smiles and cared deeply for others and went to great lengths to fulfill their hearts desires. He was an amazing giver and generous with his time and love and going that extra mile to make a difference. Chuck was an avid golfer from a very early age, he played on the team at the University and became an exceptional teaching pro. He would often go to the driving range in the late afternoon and observe someone struggling and then spend hours helping them with their game, he called that his ministry and he gained many friends and mentored many lives through this avenue. Chuck was a hunting member of the Swamp Club in Geiger, Alabama and passionately appreciated nature in the woods but more so the camaraderie of his hunting buddies of whom he cherished one and all. Chuck is preceded in death by his 9 year old sister Star and his precious mother Frances, both from cancer, and his father Chuck Hosier, Sr. There are no words to express the void his wife Bobbie Cox will feel as their 8 year marriage found them inseparable and enjoying life together to the fullest through the storms of this disease. Chuck will be sorely missed by his two daughters Mary Holley, of Mobile, AL, and Megan, of Dallas, they were the delight of his heart. He left this world missing his son, Jeff, of Dallas, with the depth of a fatherly love that was indescribable. Ashley Cox and her husband Blake Penn, Bobbie's daughter and son-in-law, have been a rock through these years and he depended on them with so much love and respect. Chuck was blessed with the outpouring of numerous doctors and nurses and their staff who have all fought so hard for him. His hopes were that his life would bring knowledge that will enhance their care for others in treating cancer and pain and a better quality of life. Chuck requested to be donated for the further study of medicine and his passionate desire to be a TESTIMONY was of upmost importance to him and will live on through the efforts ahead we can all continue. Chuck had a heart bigger than anyone can imagine, it overflowed into many lives and we are all blessed that we had the gift of his life as he will live on in our spirits forevermore.
