Kathy O'Kelley 

Kathy O'Kelley, a beloved grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2024, at the age of 71. Born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Kathy was known for her kind and welcoming heart, humility, strength and boundless love for her family.

Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 32 years, attorney Jim O'Kelley, her parents, Lewis and Mable Glover, and her sister, Sandee McCord. She is survived by her two devoted children, Madison O'Kelley and Drue Bohrer, five grandchildren, James, Adair, Jack, Avery, John and her two sisters, Marianne Hamilton and Pam Clancey. Kathy's love and dedication to her children were ever-present throughout their lives as she nurtured and raised them in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. She provided them the gift of a loving home and a strong foundation.

Those who knew Kathy will remember her as a gentle, fun-loving person of character and strength. Kathy was also a dedicated career-woman who spent over 30 years leading teams at AmSouth and Regions Bank.

Kathy's legacy of love and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, though her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Visitation and Funeral services will be held at Vestavia Hills Methodist Church on Monday, March 18. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m., followed by the funeral at 3:00 p.m.. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery at 4:30 p.m..

May Kathy rest in a forever peace, knowing that she was deeply loved and cherished by all who knew her.
