Frances Lee Vogel, 69, passed away on March 8, 2021 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Rev. Tripp Brogdon officiating and Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Preceded in death by her parents, Austin W. Lee, Jr. and Betty Turner Lee; sister, Betty Lee Yates.
Survived by her husband, Greg Vogel; daughter, Katherine Vogel Nelson (Scott); grandson, Austin Nelson; and granddaughter, Allie Nelson.
Frances graduated from the University of Montevallo and worked as an elementary school counselor and teacher prior to serving as an academic advisor at the University of Alabama.
She enjoyed Alabama Football, sailing on Lake Tuscaloosa and at Joe Wheeler State Park, and being with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Frances was a wonderful friend during high school. I have such sweet memories of spending time together at each other's home or at the lake. She was such a kind, gentle,bright and witty person. I am so sorry to hear of her passing and will be praying for her loved ones as they celebrate her life and grieve losing her. Heaven is richer.
