Kathy Visconti Christian

Kathy Visconti Christian, age 60, of Tuscaloosa, died June 11, 2012, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at St. John's Catholic Church with Father Jerry Deasy officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing.

She was preceded in death by her father, Marco Visconti; her mother, Pearl Visconti; and her husband, William Christian.

She is survived by her four dogs, Alaska, Meadow, Princess, and Chloe; and her two cats, Sweetie Pie and Katie.

Kathy was a lifelong Tuscaloosa resident and an active member of the Prentice Concert Chorale, Holy Spirit Choir, and Sisterhood of the P.E.O. She also spent many, many hours working with animal rescue groups and fostered numerous animals over the years. She loved music, and she loved animals. Kathy had a great sense of humor and a sweet smile and always had a kind word to say. She was a devoted wife to her husband William, who died six months ago.

Honorary pallbearers are Hospice of West Alabama, Prentice Concert Chorale, Holy Spirit Choir, West Alabama Animal Rescue, Dr. Anguiano, DCH Cancer Treatment Center, and the numerous friends who stayed with Kathy over the past few months.
