Ginger Wells was my BFF from as early as second grade. She and I dreamed of our futures together for years, as we sat on the curb on our street in the dark night after night. Ginger served as my Maid of Honor in my wedding. I moved away for a couple of years. During that time, our lives took very different paths. That made me very sad, but that is just life. I maintained contact with her family across the years. Being out of town on vacation (about 1990), I returned to a message on my answering machine from another classmate, Christine Cork (Sims), that Ginger had been found dead in her home in Birmingham. She had died of a brain aneurism. Her parents were devastated.

Oddly (or not), my own daughter, Jennifer (36), died of the same disorder. I miss them both!

Just caught up on so many people who have passed away. This one really shocked me. I can't remember not having a crush on her. And I was so shy. And she was so kind. Peace
